Project Blue grows stronger

11 Nov, 2011 12:00 AM
CHAIRMAN of the Manning Alliance, Peter Epov is encouraging the community of the Manning Valley to continue to support Project Blue, with a series of public information seminars to begin in December.

"The NSW Upper House inquiry into coal seam gas may have moved on, but Project Blue continues to gain strength and we have more and more people tying blue ribbons to their gates, doors and cars," Mr Epov said this week.

"I continue to invite people to support Project Blue, by displaying a blue ribbon, and expressing their support for the fight against coal seam gas mining in our valley. We need to spread the word further throughout the community.

"We need people to understand and speak about the consequences of coal seam gas with their families, neighbours and their friends."

Mr Epov said the Alliance is also calling on all businesses in the valley to think about and carefully consider the potential impact of coal seam gas drilling on their individual business.

The Alliance is available to provide detailed information, to individual community members and to the business community.

All requests for information should be emailed to manningallianceinc@gmail.com
