Nashos muster

SUNSHINE bathed Macquarie Barracks on Sunday as veterans from across the State took part in Taree's Reserve Forces Day celebrations.

A huge contingent of ex-service personnel travelled from as far as Gunnedah, Coffs Harbour and Sydney to take part in the annual event.

This was the third year the Manning Valley National Servicemen have hosted the parade, which has grown to be part of one of the largest annual ex-service reunions on the North Coast.

Reserve Forces Day celebrations were the highlight of a busy weekend for visiting veterans. The four-day Manning Muster reunion saw visitors re-ignite old friendships and retell old stories as they explored the sights and sounds of the Manning Valley.

The reunion concluded yesterday with a 'mountains to the sea' tag-along tour from Wingham to Harrington.
