HOME town rugby league hero Danny Buderus spent a busy Wednesday afternoon autographing his book, Talent Is Not Enough, at Angus and Robertson in Taree.
Earlier he had been at the Tuncurry-Forster Sporties Club, however, Angus and Robertson proprietor John Loadsman said the response to the Taree signing was excellent.
"We sold about 70 books,'' he said.
"Danny was wonderful ? particularly with the kids.''
Mr Loadsman said the Taree signing was only organised a few days earlier. Originally Buderus, who has been all over the State promoting the book, thought he'd only have enough time to get to Tuncurry. He is staying at Forster with his parents.
However, he was keen to get to Taree and that's when the 11th hour arrangements started.
Mr Loadsman conceded the turnout for the Tuncurry promotion was disappointing. This started at 12.30.
Buderus arrived at Taree at 4pm and was kept still signing books at 5.15.
He will return to England soon to take up the second year of his contract with Leeds. Buderus will be 32 in February and he told the Times this week that in all probability, this will be his final year.
