Adventist School on track to raise $33,000

28 Sep, 2010 08:21 AM
THE Manning Adventist School’s quest to raise $33,000 in 33 days received a further boost on Sunday with the success of its Family Fun Day and silent auction.

About 400 people attended the fun filled day, enjoying the festivities and the perfect conditions.

The day was packed with activities, including Old MacDonald’s Travelling Farm, show bags, art and craft stalls, jumping castles, a dunking machine, face painting, a crazy scientist and plenty of fun rides. The highlight of the day was for the students to see principal Shannon Quick being dunked on the dunking machine, while Pastor David Kosmeier also went under.

A further $3000 was raised through the silent auction which covered the costs of running the Family Fun Day.

The weekend also marked the 33 year anniversary of the school, uniting many past and present students, staff and teachers. With five days to go, the school has now reached $29,000.
